This program is most suited for people that like to travel, have a passion for learning, and are committed to serving. Volunteer placements can be as short as two weeks or as long as six months. Families, professional groups, friends, and university groups that are looking for a great volunteering opportunity in India can use ViaDesh’s volunteer service to set up a placement in a variety of settings. ViaDesh is committed to helping groups create a meaningful experience in the time period allowed. Our staff has worked for over seven years helping volunteers find placements in India. Placements can be in a variety of settings throughout India. With our connections to over 300 NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations), we can find placements in various locations and fields. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old or traveling with their parents. We provide all travel, orientations, food, accommodation, and support while in India. We also assist volunteers in pre-travel preparations. Fees vary depending on location and duration of volunteer opportunity.
